Using scraps for new cards

I made the flower taking a square scrap then drawing a spiral, cutting it and then rolling the flower. The leaves are die cut then scored down the middle. The background with the happy birthday stamp is part of the scraps from an earlier card I featured a few days back. I finished it off with a little glitter.

sweet and delicate

I used my scoreboard to create the impressions and embellished with some of the fun pearl cabochons I have. One of my obsessions is little embellishments, it used to be brads, then bigger brads, then designer brads, then bling…oh and let us not forget the pearls now I am obsessed with enamel dots. I used some of my many pearls that I bought in bulk. Add a little journey glaze and BAM…no need to buy expensive adhesive backed ones. Why is saving money important you ask….to buy more stamps!
The banner is sweet and delicate and I am very happy how this card turned out.

heart ombre

I love the effect of how ink gives you different generations of the same image and how the ink changes each time. Scattering hearts can be great for any occasion as well. One thing is my card making, I tend to make a design then wait to add the words right before I send them. So, don’t be shocked as my cards are missing that sentiment factor on the front.

Damask-something a little classy

This Damask ATC size stamp is one of my favorites in our collection, it surprises me a bit that I don’t have more samples posted with it because I have used it frequently. I guess that means, you need to stay tuned for more ideas coming shortly. For the banner, I used the scoring board to give the bends and used the foam tape to pop it off the page for more of a 3d effect. I want to thank each and everyone one of you that keep coming back to my blog. Have a new blog with not a lot of samples can be intimidating if you think of it as a whole picture.

Sponged Color Blast

My original idea was to watercolor the background…BUT…I hid my watercolor brushes in the box with my distress markers and didn’t find them until I changed my original idea. You know, creative freedom. (wink) The bling brand I used is no longer on the market so I apologize there is no link for them below. Thanks for visiting my site and I hope you have inspiration through my cards/

Smile-it is time for another card

Oh this was a fun card, did you see the instagram image of this when I started with the idea? I stamped the images, cut them into the 1 inch squares then mounted them all on cardstock.
The ribbon is martha stewart brand from my stash. The oval was second generation stamped to get the lighter color.

The idea behind this card is the the stamped image repeating is similar to the sunshine. A few of the itmes are from my stash, the button is old school making memories and the pompom is american crafts. I love the may arts chevron ribbons and I hoard it and have it all neat together so I can get smiles when I open my ribbon drawer. I am sure you too have items in your craft room that doesn’t get used because you love it so much.

A nice subtle color for a male card but using a more detailed image. My first instinct was to color this image up with copic markers but then had second thoughts.
I am rather pleased with the look.

Banner Enjoyment

Stamped and die cut three banners. The pretty amethyst banner has white hearts stamped on it to give it a little extra pop of fun.
