Girls just want to have fun

The papers and enamel dots are Simple Stories I Am collection. I purchased them via the AllScrapbookSteals site that offers 25% off daily. I have to confess, that is where I get a majority of my papers because they carry the companies I love the most.

pink birthday sparkle card

This is one of my favorite sets, it is so veritile and that cute label stamp is so fun! I used the tecnique of second generation stamping, for the lighter colors directly over the leaves. I cuto out the other flowers and popped them up with foam squares. I have to admit, I did that because I was too lazy to do any masking. The sponge effect really pulled those sequins into the center point of the card.

Hope you enjoy the card and are imspired to make your own card this week.

Birthday card, this can be used for any message

I saw this layout idea from pintrest and just love how versatile it can be. It stamps up so fast and the flower can be changed out for hearts, clovers or anything image to match your sentiment.

to make: the card panel is stamps with the different colors, then you add the top layer by cutting off an inch or 1/5 inches. They slice that layer in two pieces, I traditionally stamp my sentiment first to determine where to cut. Then mount those two pieces with the foam squares.

Kit of the month-October 2014

October 2014Birthday-Girls

Isn’t this kit just adorable?
This set is the KOTM for October 2014. I love how you get all these cards for as little as $24.95 plus shipping and taxes.

To sign up for the KOTM program, please follow the link on the right side.
IF you want to just purchase this single month, the link on the right side will work for that as well.

Now that the catalog has been released I will be making designs using this set that will be only featured in the newsletter.

Since this month is a coloring option, stay tuned as I will be using my copic markers to show other examples with this stamp set.
Did you know I was copic certified? Yeap, I am. :>

Using scraps for new cards

I made the flower taking a square scrap then drawing a spiral, cutting it and then rolling the flower. The leaves are die cut then scored down the middle. The background with the happy birthday stamp is part of the scraps from an earlier card I featured a few days back. I finished it off with a little glitter.

A nice subtle color for a male card but using a more detailed image. My first instinct was to color this image up with copic markers but then had second thoughts.
I am rather pleased with the look.
